Mt. Nebo

Australia has large tracts of untouched forest which have been set aside for the benefit of the city's inhabitants. There are lakes, bushwalks, quiet picnic spots and areas where the coolness and tranquility of the eucalypt forests (which proliferate amidst the plentiful sunshine and rainfall) offer a welcome break from the bustle of the city. One such place is a short drive north west of Brisbane.

Ryan and I met with Simon, our Immigration Agent, yesterday morning. He lives in The Gap, which is a low-lying town between Mt. Nebo and Mt. Glorious about 11 km. west of Brisbane. Since we were already in the area, after we met with Simon about my visa application, we decided to take a drive up to Mt. Nebo.

We stopped at a lookout point called Jolly's Lookout along the way, and then we had breakfast at a little cafe in the rainforest.
